ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The choice of the United States to revoke sanctions on Russian diesel “does not facilitate” ongoing efforts to bring Putin to the peace table. This is what is observed by the vice-premier and foreign minister, Antonio Tajani, answering the questions of journalists at a joint press point with the President of Dominican Republic Luis Abinader.
“I believe that the unity of the West is fundamental. Europe yesterday decided to impose new sanctions to more than 1,500 members of the Russian defence network. I don’t think American choice is easy in this situation, which aims to bring Putin to the table of peace,” said Tajani.
The owner of the Farnesina then said to share the words of the president of the council, Giorgia Meloni, who defined “very risky” the choice of the Trump administration. “So I share the words of the President of the Council, it is a decision we have made in common. He consulted me yesterday about this position and of course he found my full support,” said Tajani.
