ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “I had the honour to receive the America Award, conferred by the Fondazione Italia USA. A recognition that makes me particularly proud also for the prestige of those who received it before me: great doctors and scientists, who have left a deep mark in medicine and research. Receiving him as a scientist is for me reason of authentic satisfaction, but also a stimulus to continue to do research with curiosity, ambition and openness to the world. Thanks to the Fondazione Italia USA for this recognition, which I welcome with pride and gratitude”. Matteo Bassetti, director of the Clinic of Infectious Diseases and Tropicals of the Policlinico San Martino di Genova.
