ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “Our appeal was welcomed by the Institutions, the request of thousands of citizens was heard.” Thus Diego Catania, president of the National Federation of Orders of Technical Health, Rehabilitation and Prevention (Fno Tsrm and Pstrp), commented on the acceptance of the petition on the overcoming of the bond of exclusivity, by the Committee on Social Affairs of the House, of which the President himself spokesman and that, during the summer, he collected over 12 thousand signatures of professionals and citizens. A request that aims to change the discipline on the bond of exclusivity, overcoming an obsolete norm without foundation, which limits the freedom of health professionals dependent on performing work outside their turn. The measure affects 23 professional categories of sector, or about 350 thousand operators. The review of the discipline could facilitate access to care, extending the possibility of choosing the services available on the territory. An evolution already in place. In the last decree thousandprorogues, in fact, a derogation to the norm was foreseen, revoking the bond of exclusivity for professionals of sector until December 2027. Today, the signatories of the initiative call for the abolition of the bond to be transformed from transitional to structural standards.
“Our request – says Catania – is not to make professionals work more. Either you finally recognize the exclusivity allowance or you leave the professionals the freedom to put their skills at the service of citizens even outside the working time. We hope that Parliament will be able to examine the request as soon as possible, and we hope that the measure will see the light before the end of this legislature.”.
