The Urology of ARNAS Garibaldi in Catania protagonist at the ERUS26 meeting in Padua

PADOVA (ITALPRESS) – The UOC of Urology of the ARNAS Garibaldi of Catania, directed by Mario Falsaperla, took part in ERUS26 – EAU Robotic Urologic Section, an important international event dedicated to robotic urological surgery, held in Padua from 9 to 11 September. At its 23rd edition, the meeting of the section of robotic surgery of the European Society of Urology “represents one of the main moments of scientific comparison on the most advanced technologies applied to robotic urology and new surgical techniques for the treatment of urological pathologies”, reads in a note. In this international context, the ARNAS Garibaldi team brought its scientific contribution through the presentation of a poster and two high technical videos, illustrated to the European urological community by Dr Trefiletti. The contributions presented covered surgical procedures of particular interest in the field of mini-invasive and robot-assisted kidney surgery. Among the works documented in the event material are the comparison between the laparoscopic clamp-less enucleation of 3D renal tumors and partial robotic nephron-sparing nephron-sparing robotics “Two Tumors, One Kidney, Zero Clamps” and a robot-assisted eminephrectomy of the left lower pole. “Participation in ERUS26 confirms the commitment of the UOC of Urology of ARNAS Garibaldi in technological innovation and in the development of mini-invasive and robotic surgical techniques, as well as the desire to maintain a constant comparison with the most advanced European scientific experiences – concludes the note. The presence of the Catalan team in an event of this importance is also an important opportunity to enhance the professional and scientific skills acquired within the company and testifies to the role of research, training and innovation in the continuous improvement of patient care”.
