Novo Nordisk, “Circular for Kids” arrives at the Rimini Meeting

RIMINI (ITALPRESS) – Thanks to the agreement between Novo Nordisk and the Meeting, the communication materials used during the event will be recovered and transformed into educational kits and ludics for children admitted in Italian pediatric hospitals. An initiative that further strengthens the collaboration between Meeting of Rimini and Novo Nordisk which is health partner of the event. A role that the company plays as an opportunity to promote prevention, health culture and initiatives capable of generating value for the community, with particular attention to chronic diseases, obesity and metabolic risk. Circular for Kids is a project conceived in Italy under Circular for Zero, the framework with which Novo Nordisk supports initiatives that combine environmental sustainability and social responsibility. The project collects disused communication materials, such as roll-ups, sails and plastic supports used in previous events, and entrusts them to social laboratories that involve people in situations of fragility. From this process are born astucci, school kits and ludic-didactic materials designed to bring color, creativity and a moment of normality in pediatric departments. “Circular for Kids is very concretely the vision that guides our new era of Circular for Zero: taking care of people and the environment through projects capable of producing tangible benefits for communities. Bringing this initiative to the Meeting of Rimini means entering it into a place of dialogue, meeting and shared responsibility, where institutions, enterprises and civil society can recognize themselves in common objectives. We are proud that materials born to communicate can have a second life and become tools of play, learning and comfort for children admitted in pediatric hospitals”, says Jens Pii Olesen, General Manager of Novo Nordisk Italy. After the success of 2024, with the distribution of 4,000 kits to the Children’s Hospital Jesus, the 2026 edition began with a donation of materials by the Chamber of Deputies. The agreement with the Meeting of Rimini represents a new step of the project and confirms the value of a collaboration between enterprises, institutions and social realities, able to transform what has exhausted its original function in a concrete resource for those who live a condition of greater fragility. “The Meeting was born as a place where people, businesses and institutions can meet to build together experiences that generate value for all. For this reason we are particularly pleased that a part of the materials used during the event can live a second life, turning into a concrete gesture of attention to children admitted in pediatric hospitals. It is an initiative that combines environmental sustainability, social responsibility and creativity, demonstrating how even what has exhausted its function can become an occasion for good and hope,” says Francesco Rainone, the commercial director of the Rimini Meeting. The agreement with the Meeting of Rimini adds a stop to a collaborative path that shows how alliances between companies, institutions and realities of civil society can become a system partner in the design of sustainable, inclusive and measurable initiatives.
