CATANZARO (ITALPRESS) – The University of Magna Graecia Studies in Catanzaro expands and renews its educational offer by launching a master’s degree program with a high level of innovation: the Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management (class LM-77 – Economic and Business Sciences).
Designed to meet the most complex challenges of the global healthcare industry – from population aging to digital transformation, to resource management in the post-pandemic era – the course forms a new generation of health managers and leaders.
The true strength of this path lies in its international vocation. The course will be entirely provided in English, confirming the great commitment of the University of Catanzaro in the dynamics related to internationalization. The new activation course is an extraordinary strategic opportunity: it aims to attract students from all over the world thanks to a structured program to create mobility and careers without borders. By preparing students on international scientific literature and European regulations, the course opens doors to careers at public regulatory authorities, international organizations (such as WHO), research centers and multinationals in the pharmaceutical sector and medical devices, and to implement visiting professors and partnerships thanks to a study plan that involves the involvement of leading international teachers and through the Erasmus program.
The course of studies was born from the synergy of excellence between the area of the Department of Law, Economics and Sociology and the School of Medicine and Surgery of the UG. A perfect combination that combines economic planning, law, advanced statistics and public health.
The course is oriented to the skills of the future with state-of-the-art didactic modules focused on Digital Health, Big Data, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), Risk Management, Impact Investing and Cybersecurity, integrated with leadership, communication and change management laboratories and experiential learning and laboratory “on the field”.
Students will be able to experience the direct experience of hospital dynamics through close collaboration with the “R. Dulbecco” University Hospitaller Company, an authentic training laboratory of excellence. In addition, the study plan includes a compulsory internship/training in public and private health facilities. The course responds to market demand: industry studies and AlmaLaurea data show a growing need for qualified management figures, ensuring extremely high employment rates, rapid job integration and competitive wages.

We have designed this course by actively listening to the industry’s leading stakeholders, from Health Companies to governance bodies to private facilities, to offer an integrated, modern and experiential study plan. Choosing to provide the course entirely in English means giving our students a passport without borders to successfully operate in the most complex and competitive contexts of global health.”.
The course (class LM-77) is open to three-year graduates in economic, social, political, administrative, statistical and health (preview of curricular requirements and linguistic competence in English at level B2). Admission provides for a cognitive interview and evaluation of motivation in online mode. Professional outlets: Manager and Director in public and private health organizations (Ospedali, ASL, IRCCS); Specialist in Economic Evaluation and Health Technology Assessment (HTA); Health Data Analyst and Digital Health Manager; Consultant and Project Manager for consulting companies, pharmaceutical industry and medical technologies; Specialist and executive at public regulatory authorities and national and international health agencies.
