Extreme warming on Italy, dead two elderly in Genoa. Increase cities with red bubble

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The wave of heat is intensified: according to the last bulletin of the Ministry of Health, today are 22 cities from North to South, but the number will rise to 25 tomorrow, 30 June and Tuesday 1 July.

The heat waves occur when “very high temperatures are recorded for several consecutive days, often associated with high humidity rates, strong sunlight and lack of ventilation: these climate conditions can pose a risk to the health of the population.”.

Cities affected today by red stamp are: Ancona, Bari, Bologna, Bolzano, Brescia, Campobasso, Civitavecchia, Florence, Frosinone, Genoa, Latina, Milan, Naples, Palermo, Perugia, Pescara, Rieti, Rome, Turin, Venice, Verona, Viterbo.

For June 30 and July the heat will intensify, and the number of cities in maximum alert will rise to 25: Cagliari, Catania and Trieste will pass so as to boil orange to red. Reggio Calabria, instead, will pass from yellow to orange level. The only city to keep the yellow bubble, among the monitored ones, will remain Messina.

DUE MORTI A GENOVA

In Genoa there are the first two deaths in the city hospitals for the exceptional wave of heat that has hit Italy for days. According to the Metropolitan Hospital Company, it is a 86-year-old hospitalized for two days at the San Martino Polyclinic and a 79-year-old arrived already under cardiac arrest in the same emergency room. Also in San Martino, between yesterday and today a 87-year-old and a 83-year-old in dehydration, a 49-year-old and a 16-year-old hit by syncope. Two accesses recorded at the Villa Scassi: a 19-year-old with syncope and dehydration and a 46-year-old with dizziness and solar burn. At the Galliera hospital, a 32-year-old with lipotimia, a 33-year-old with syncope, a 29-year-old with prencopal syndrome and a 83-year-old dehydrated. In the city is in force until Wednesday the red boil by heat wave issued by the Ministry of Health, waiting for the expected weather deterioration that should significantly lower the temperatures, at least for a few days.
