ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “For this government it has been a priority to increase the Order Forces quantitatively and qualitatively, as well as on the level of visibility. For this purpose we have assumed, since we are in charge, 42,500 police officers. This figure will add about 27,000 new entries planned by 2027. They are assumptions with which we are facing the number of pensioners, which was widely known and totally neglected by those who preceded us.” Matteo Piantedosi said this during the question time at the Chamber. “The strengthening of organics, in turn, is an integral part of a broader strategy that we are operating throughout the country, namely: more resources, more protection and higher wages at the Police Forces, more investments in new technologies for urban security projects across the national territory, a more effective contrast to every form of eversion and terrorism, more arrests, seizure and confiscation of goods to organized crime,” he stressed.

“I once again appreciate the excellent quality of our investigative and intelligence apparatuses in the field of anti-terrorism prevention. Another decisive element is the international cooperation of Police and Judicial, both bilateral and multilateral, with bodies such as Interpol, and Union as Europol and Eurojust. Thanks to these professionalism, from the beginning of the government, we have expelled 250 foreign citizens considered dangerous for national security”. Since we settled the total number of repatriations has grown by more than 40% and, in the first months of the year, the figure is still growing: more than 30% compared to the same period last year. But, above all, the percentage ratio of irregular immigrants landed and immigrants repatriated has grown: we have gone from 3% of 2023 to 10 percent last year and even 31% since the beginning of the year”.
