Case Minetti, Attorney General of Milan “Iter of regular grace, unfounded news of press”

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – The Attorney General at the Court of Appeal of Milan confirmed the full regularity of the iter that led to the granting of grace to Nicole Minetti, signed by the President of the Republic on 18 February 2026. The Attorney General Francesca Nanni explained in a statement that the investigations carried out showed the unfounded news of the press that had raised doubts about the case. Following articles published by “Il Fatto Quotidiano”, the Quirinale invited the Ministry of Justice to carry out urgent checks. The investigations, delegated to the Carabinieri and Interpol, however, have established that the facts reported “do not correspond to the true” and do not alter the probatory framework that justified the benefit. Specifically, the Prosecutor stated that “there are no investigations or judicial judgments under Nicole Minetti in Uruguay or Spain.” The child’s serious health picture (careful at Boston Children’s Hospital) has been confirmed and the stable presence of Minetti in Italy for volunteer activities since January 2024.

The allegations about drug and sex festini that would have involved the interest in recent years have been denied; these accusations, initially anonymous, were denied by the testimonies collected by the Carabinieri. The death of a lawyer in Uruguay, cited by the press, does not concern figures involved in the legal battle for adoption and does not present any hypothesis of crime.

The General Prosecutor concluded the collection of information and today sent a detailed report to the Minister of Justice, so that the latter and the Head of State may assume the final determinations of respective competence.
