ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Ministry of Health informs that the test for Ebola carried out yesterday on the patient returned to Sardinia from the Congo was negative. The analysis was conducted by the Spallanzani of Rome.
The patient returned to Italy on Saturday 30 May. Yesterday, after accusing some symptoms, he called the 118 and was brought in bio containment to the hospital Santissima Trinità di Cagliari for the necessary diagnostic tests, as provided by the protocols in force.
The Ministry remains in contact with the health authorities of Sardinia. It is confirmed that the risk in Italy remains very low.
