ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The National Federation of Orders of Technical Health Care, Rehabilitation and Prevention (Fno Tsrm and Pstrp) and the National Commission of Biomedical Laboratory Medical Technicians (Tslb) draw the attention of the Institutions on the need to fully enhance the role, responsibilities and operational conditions of the professional profile of the Tslb, also in the context of the renewal of the GCC.
Biomedical laboratory health technicians, read in a note, ” operate daily in contexts characterized by exposure to chemical-biological risk, management of potentially infectious samples and use of dangerous substances represent the essential engine of diagnosis and prevention; the precision and rapidity of their work derives the correctness of each clinical decision, especially in DEA routes and in emergency-efficiency cases. Yet, at present, this category has been excluded from benefits that are otherwise recognized to other health profiles.” In this context, the National Federation “remains necessary to overcome the current contractual misalignment, providing tools suitable to recognize in a stable and proportionate way the professional risk, the operating discomfort and the heavy responsibility connected with the validation of the diagnostic data”. The Fno Tsrm and Pstrp “is ready for technical comparison, in compliance with institutional roles and competences, to define criteria and methods of recognition of specific allowances and to protect the economic dignity of thousands of professionals who guarantee the safety of care and the seal of the National Health Service”.
