Graduated in mechanical engineering at Caltech in 2017 and with a master in computer science obtained in 2025, Allen had worked as an engineer and independent developer of video games, as well as performing part-time teaching activities. The federal authorities believe that it is a “solo light”. The FBI is preparing to search for a house connected to man to clarify motive and possible ties. According to investigative sources, in the sight of the attacker there would have been generically “government officials”, although it is not yet clear whether the president was the direct goal.
The news has aroused immediate reactions from the international community. Several world leaders condemned the incident, reasserting that “political violence has no place in a democracy”.
