Public accounts, Meloni “Objective 3% blurred, Superbonus measured”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “Regarding the reduction of deficit, the government has obtained a result considered by many unattainable. In 2022, when the current government settled, we found a deficit/Pil ratio of 8.1%; today we brought it to 3.1%. A figure not only lower than 5 percentage points than when we settled, but also better than the government’s forecasts, which stood at 3.3% for 2025.” So on X the President of the Council Giorgia Meloni.

“It is regrettable that the threshold of 3% was just missing, which would allow us to leave the European infringement procedure one year in advance, which would have meant more spending capacity for the state – he continues. In order to achieve this, just 20 billion GDP would be sufficient more than 2.258 billion GDP for 2025 at the time estimated by Istat. The paradox is that, for many years now, the first Istat data substimate the actual GDP, and then review it at the rise. In good probability, this will happen also for 2025, revealing itself a beffe for Italy and for Italians”.

“And it makes it angry to note that, even taking good the current Istat estimates, we would still be under 3% of deficit if, even in 2025, on the state’s crates had not burdened the outburst of billion euros for the superbonus. The shady measure of the left-wing government of Count II, at the moment, prevents Italy from leaving the infringement procedure, removing the government’s margin of expenditure to be allocated to public health, to the school, to support lower incomes – concludes Meloni. The Minister Giorgetti and the entire government thanked me for managing public resources in a very complicated historical phase, giving Italy great prestige and economic solidity”.
