ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “I continue to follow the situation in the Middle East, as well as in other regions of the world torn by war and violence. We cannot remain silent in the face of the suffering of so many people, unarmed victims of these conflicts. What hurts them, hurts the whole of humanity.” Pope Leo XIV affirms this at the end of the Angelus in Saint Peter’s Square. “The death and pain caused by these wars are a scandal for the whole human family and a cry before God – the Pontiff continues –. I strongly renew the call to persevere in prayer so that hostilities may cease and finally open themselves paths of peace based on sincere dialogue and respect for the dignity of every human person.”.
