ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni, met at the headquarters of the Italian Embassy in Tokyo the leaders of the main Japanese companies: 17 economic and industrial groups which, altogether, have a turnover of more than one thousand billion euros and which are active on a global scale and in the priority sectors of the special strategic partnership between Italy and Japan.
These include aerospace, defence, infrastructure, railway industry, automotive, digital, innovation, electrical and electronic equipment, pharmaceutical, finance, commerce and food. Meloni has had an exchange of views on the strengthening of economic, industrial and technological cooperation between Italy and Japan, underlining the opportunities that political stability and the many measures put in place by the Italian Government – from ZES Unica to incentives for employment and technological innovation of enterprises – can offer those who intend to develop new investments in Italy.
Among the focus of the exchange of views between Meloni and Japanese entrepreneurs the dynamics of global trade, the resilience of value chains and the supply of critical raw materials.
