Meloni sees Erdogan at the G20 in South Africa, focus on Ukraine and Middle East

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni, had a bilateral meeting in the margin of the G20 work in South Africa with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayip Erdogan. A note from Palazzo Chigi reports it. The two Leaders stressed the importance of cooperation between Italy and Turkey in NATO.

The meeting continued with a thorough exchange of ongoing international crises with particular reference to the war in Ukraine and the situation in the Middle East. The two leaders also shared the hope of continuing to strengthen bilateral relations in a very positive framework of continuous economic growth also in strategic sectors.
