Aggressions to the forces of order, Piantedosi “Not to happen anymore”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “Unfortunately it happens more and more, too often, I take the opportunity to thank them for being a bastion of democracy. But we should all work because it doesn’t happen anymore.” Thus the Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi, in an interview with the Tg1, comments on the aggressions to the forces of order, increasingly frequent in recent times.

“Since the Palestinian Israeli conflict has intensified, someone has wanted to transfer this international situation to the national territory as a reason for controversy towards our government, perhaps because there are no other reasons and so all this is happening,” he added.

“We have recorded a resurgence of these events especially in relation to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Someone has imagined that this international conflict should also be something to challenge the policies of the Meloni government, probably because there is nothing else to challenge the government’s policies,” added Piantedosi.

“All the proposals that had arrived were untouchable because they would transfer the problem elsewhere. Experience teaches us that this always occurs when playing Israeli sports teams. I believe that all this concealed an ideological prejudice against the State of Israel, not playing an Israeli team in Bologna. There was no serious alternative and we could not give in to those who threatened to do what they did.” So the Interior Minister commented on Friday evening’s disturbances during the protest against the basketball game Virtus-Maccabi Tel Aviv.
