Cesare Paciotti died at age 67, an entrepreneur and designer from Marche, internationally known for having founded the luxury footwear brand that bears his name. The death occurred on Sunday, October 12 in his home of Civitanova Alta, in contrada Cavallino, due to a sudden malore. Help, alerted by family members, could not do anything to revive him.
Paciotti was a prominent figure in the Made in Italy panorama, particularly in the footwear and luxury accessories sector. The company that founded in 1980, after detecting the family activity initiated by his father Joseph in 1948, became a worldwide recognized brand. Symbol of the brand was the dagger, a logo that became iconic over time. Next to him in the management of the company there was always sister Paola, while the creative role was entirely her.
The formation of Paciotti passed from the DAMS in Bologna, where he studied Discipline delle Arti, della Musica e dello Spettacolo, before travelling abroad and consolidating his international vision of design. Back in Italy, he gave the company a highly aesthetic and recognizable footprint, focusing on collections characterized by a bold and distinctive image. His shoes and accessories were worn by numerous celebrities, helping to strengthen the link between Italian fashion and pop culture.
In addition to footwear, the brand Cesare Paciotti included lines of bags and jewellery, including “Cesare Paciotti Jewels”, and the line “Cesare Paciotti 4US”, more casual and sportswear oriented. Over the years, the company had expanded its presence on international markets, with boutiques in Europe, the United States and the Middle East, representing one of the most famous Italian realities in the luxury sector.
Paciotti leaves two sons, Ludovica and Joseph, born from the first marriage, and a three-year-old girl from the second. In recent years he had always lived in his hometown, maintaining a constant link with the Marches, where the production of the company had remained rooted.
