ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The new essential levels of assistance were approved at the State-Regions Conference to update the DPCM 12 January 2017. “The aim of the intervention is to eliminate obsolete performance, improve organizational and clinical appropriateness and promote greater prescribed rationalization, in line with the reduction of charges for the National Health Service”, reads in a note of the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces.
In particular, the Regions have expressed favourably on the DPCM with an economic impact which provides for the inclusion of: two new benefits for psychoeducational therapy for food and nutrition disorders, both for individual and collective sessions; three new chronic diseases exempt from patient participation at the cost of performance, indicating the minimum duration of the exemption certificate: fibromyalgic syndrome, chronic suppurative hydrosadenitis and lung disease from non-tubercular mycobacteria; specialist performance for physiological pregnancy control.
A favourable opinion of the Regions also on the second measure, the Decree of the Minister of Health “isorisorse”, to financial neutrality, which updates, among others: the lists of rare diseases which entitle the exemption from participation at the cost of sickness-related benefits; thermal assistance services; the Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) for hospitals under ordinary care at high risk of unsuitability.
The Conference of the Regions also recalled the need to ensure a direct and continuous interlocution with the LEA Commission of the Ministry of Health also in order to be able to share issues and queries relating to the updating and insertion of other services, still not foreseen. Finally, the observation on the time of entry into force of the two measures, which the Regions are asking for, is not less than 30 days from publication in the Official Journal, so that all central and regional systems can be adapted.
