PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – “Referring to the mechanism identified by the ASP in Palermo to address the serious issue of waiting lists, the AIOP – Italian Private Hospitality Association, a more representative category organization of private-law healthcare facilities accredited with the Regional Health Service – intends to reiterate the full availability of its members to offer a concrete contribution to reduce waiting time, in the right of patients”. It’s what you read in a note.
“We welcome with satisfaction – says Luigi Triolo, delegate AIOP Palermo – the initiative of the ASP in Palermo that, through the establishment of a special procedure called ‘Treeway Path, aims to ensure citizens faster access to health services in the times provided by the priority classes. We would like to recall that, also, privately-lawed health structures, accredited and contracted with the ASP, are an integral part of the Regional Health Service and, always, are an essential precondition for public health protection. The AIOP has always manifested its willingness to collaborate with the institutions, in order to contribute concretely to the reduction of waiting lists and the overall improvement of the health offer. We hope, therefore, that the ASP of Palermo will extend the network of the ‘Tree Path also to accredited structures of private law, so as to make available to patients the widest possible number of presidencies able to guarantee prompt and effective care responses”.
The Regional President and National Vice-President of AIOP, Barbara Cittadini notes that: “The initiative of the ASP in Palermo, aimed at identifying paths that assure patients health benefits in the times and ways prescribed by the doctor of confidence, is fully shared and worthy of appreciation. I believe, however, that the actual success of this project depends on the involvement of the entire network of accredited subjects, public and private law, who operate in a complementary and synergistic manner within the Regional Health Service. Only an integrated and truly collaborative system can guarantee citizens timely, timely, efficient and quality assistance. In this sense, AIOP and its associated companies confirm, as always, the maximum willingness to collaborate with regional and territorial institutions, providing a network of qualified and fully integrated hospital and outpatient facilities in the regional health network.”.
