ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni, took part in the afternoon in a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Zelensky and other European leaders, to make the point after the meetings of yesterday in Florida between the U.S. and Ukrainian delegations on the path of peace in Ukraine.
Meloni – says Palazzo Chigi – commented with the other leaders the results of this new phase of negotiation, underlining the constructive approach always demonstrated by President Zelensky. He also stressed the importance of the convergence of views between European partners and the United States as a basis for achieving a just and lasting peace.
On the eve of the meetings between President Trump’s special envoy and the Russian authorities, Meloni finally hoped that Moscow will offer an effective contribution to the negotiating process.
